Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jane Smiley takes the stage at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre for our second in a series of author events generously funded by the Friends of the Library. Smiley is the author of the bestseller A Thousand Acres, a story based on William Shakespeare's King Lear which received the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1992 and was adapted into a film in 1997.
