Jack Elliott, Arlo Guthrie, Kris Kristofferson, Pete Seeger, Odetta, Dave van Ronk
Looks at the life of Ramblin' Jack Elliott who traveled and sang with Woody Guthrie and became a mentor to Bob Dylan. Jack's duaghter Aiyana had originally wanted to document her father in action and bring his story to light. However, when she hit the road with him, the focus of the story turned from the roving cowboy's life on the road to the daughter's search for a dad who was rarely at home. This film, shot over a period of two years, contains performances, interviews and archival material including home movies from the Guthrie family's private collection
