Business Plan: A Road Map to Your Success

Good planning increases the odds of success. This workshop covers the essential elements of business plan development. Topics include: setting goals and objectives, preparing marketing and financial plans and defining action steps to attain appropriate goals. Register online or at the Reception Desk, 847-392-0100. This is the first in a series of programs designed to help small business owners and entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses successfully. It is presented by counselors from SCORE, a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration. money_smart_business_plans As part of the Federal Reserve Money Smart Week, the Library is sponsoring two programs to help you better manage your finances.  How to Write a Business Plan Monday, April 19, 7 p.m. / Business Center Shelley Hoyt Anderson, an economic educator with the University of Illinois Extension Service will show entrepreneurs the fundamentals of writing a business plan so that they can successfully compete in the local markets and contribute to our economy. Kathy Reuter, Consumer and Family Economics Educator from the University of Illinois Extension, will help you understand how your personal information is being shared; how identity theft occurs, and how you can protect your financial and personal information.
