Get Health Info Using Well-Connected
Posted by daccurso on 03/02/10
Looking for information about common diseases and wellness issues? Try Well-Connected, one of the Library’s databases which has in-depth reports discussing the latest treatments, causes, symptoms, tests, and preventative measures for about 100 health conditions. The reports are reviewed by a board of physicians from Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. This database is available through our web site under “Research.” Click on “Databases A-Z” and then select Well-Connected. You need to be an A.H. cardholder to use it outside of the Library.

Library volunteers Nancy Clancy and Joan Toomey joined Library staff member Carol Prescott in serving a free continental breakfast at Senior Health and Fitness Day at the Arlington Heights Senior Center. The breakfast was provided by the Library and the A.H. Park District. The Library also sponsored Fit Links classes taught by staff member Rose Osebold (pictured above with one group) and volunteer Joe Cesario.
