Need to learn a language for your upcoming vacation or business trip? Try our newest language database, Mango. It offers nine languages: Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian and Spanish. In addition, it has three ESL programs for Polish, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese speakers. This new language learning program replaces the Rosetta Stone series which is no longer available to libraries. It includes 100 lessons that focus on conversation to help you learn the language. You can use it from home or at the Library. You will need an A.H. library card to use it from home.

Brought to you by the creators of Mango, this online resource for babies, toddlers and preschoolers introduces simple words and phrases for everyday activities in different languages. Using animation and real kids, it helps children learn words in Russian, German, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Hebrew, English, Spanish and French. Try it with your little one!

Mango, our online database for language instruction, now offers 23 more languages. To find it, just click on Mango on the World Languages page. If you just need to learn some basic words and phrases for an upcoming business trip or vacation and don't have much time, click on Mango Basic. With Mango Basic, you can learn: Arab (Leventine), Chinese (Mandarin), Dari, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Pashto, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish (Latin America), Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Urdu and Vietnamese. It also offers ESL courses in French, German, Italian Russian, Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Arabic, Korean, and Vietnamese. To use Mango, you must be an A.H. cardholder.
