Astronomy Night
Posted by daccurso on 10/24/11
What might life be like if it existed elsewhere in the Universe? Michelle Nichols, Master Educator for NASA Forum Programs at the Adler Planetarium will outline what life is, how amazingly extreme life can be on Earth, and where we are likely to find life elsewhere in the Universe. Michelle will also showcase NASA’s Kepler space telescope, which is currently looking for planets around other stars, and highlight the recent findings of planets which could very well be just like our own Earth.
Following the program, everyone is invited to the library’s parking lot where telescopes, provided by the NW Suburban Astronomers Club, will be set up to view the evening’s sky. Additional parking is available in the commuter lot across from the library on Vail Street.
