Life Readers: Classic Study Group
Thursdays, 7– 8:30 p.m, Board Room.
Led by a Newberry Library Independent Scholar, this serious group focuses on close textual analysis of the work of Stendal and Gustave Flaubert. For anyone who is interested in studying serious books in a group setting, this group will help participants to understand the classics in context, with each discussion supplemented by biographical, historical, and critical information.
Registration:
This group's members supply their own books. Because of the differences in various editions or translations, it is important to read the editions listed on the supplied reading list. Register and pick up your reading list information at any time at the Welcome Desk in the Library. 25 participant limit. Patrons may join for all books, or for separate titles.
