I Can Read

ICanRead-Blog Bring your young readers to the Library to read to a librarian. After reading a story of their choice, they will receive a Polaroid snapshot and a magnetic "I Can Read" picture frame donated by the Friends of the Library. There's no registration, just stop by the Kids' World Desk at the following times: Wednesday, April 7, 6–7 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 4–5 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 10–11 a.m. Monday, April 12, 6–7 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 4–5 p.m.

iPads for Kids

Kids’ World now has iPads that A.H. cardholders can check out for one week. They are loaded with fun and educational apps for children from age 1 to grade 8. Apps include Inside the World of Dinosaurs, Letter School, Musical Me, First Words International, and Tap to Talk for children with special needs. Look for  them with the audiobooks near the drinking fountains.
