Storytime On Demand! Join your favorite librarians in our online storytime recordings available 24/7! View as often as you like, at whatever time of day works best for you and your little one.
Kids
Missing your regular visits to storytime at the library? Don't worry - we're bringing the library to you! Join us weekly for virtual storytimes on demand. We've got songs, stories and rhymes for you to enjoy from your home. So, get your clapping hands ready!
Join Miss Emily during this week’s Family Time.
Storytime in the Park, an Arlington Heights summertime favorite, returns with new safety precautions in place. Join us for a 20-minute outdoor storytime at Pioneer Park and/or Frontier Park, and stop by the bookmobile’s table to get a book bundle or activity kit to take home.
Please familiarize yourself with our safety precautions before arriving:

Everyone over the age of 2 must wear a mask to join the storytime.

The number of attendees will be limited in accordance to state guidelines.

When you arrive, staff will direct your family to a hula hoop. During the storytime, children are asked to stay in their hula hoops to encourage social distancing.

Browsing on the bookmobile is not permitted at this time.
The bookmobile will arrive at 10:30 a.m. Storytime will begin around 10:40 a.m. In case of bad weather, the storytime will be canceled.
Tween
Celebrate Women’s Equality Day and the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage on August 26! Pick up a tween activity kit outside the Dunton entrance of the library and make your own suffragist pin. Kits will be available through September 6. Learn more about women’s suffrage in this Wakelet.

Teens
Teen BYOBook Club: Graphic novels, comics, manga, oh my! Share what you've been reading and get recommendations from fellow teens and expert Hub staff. This meeting's theme will be graphic novels (this includes comics and manga). Plus, one lucky attendee will win an AUTHOR-SIGNED BOOK! If you'd like help picking out some titles, fill out a BookMe form and get a list of personalized recommendations. Tuesday, August 25, 4-5 p.m.
Dice Guild: Free Play: Play roleplaying games online with other teens! You can be a wizard exploring goblin-filled dungeons, a bewildered teen investigating a spooky small town, an intrepid robot in outer space, a raccoon in the middle of an underground drag race, and so much more. Friday, August 28, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
