Event Description

Ruth Asawa was an influential Japanese-American sculptor and arts education activist. Her unique wire sculptures have been exhibited in modern art museums around the world. Join art historian Jeff Mishur to explore Ruth Asawa's life, art and legacy. 

Jeff Mishur is co-owner of Art Excursions, who provide private guiding in Chicago, lectures and cultural tours. A popular speaker about art historical and travel topics, Mishur has his M.A. in Art History from Northern Illinois University and has taught at the university level for many years.
