A dynamic tour of the island of Manhattan that captures the city's heart and spirit. Shot over a period of several years through spring 2003, so the city is seen in all seasons and also a gamut of events, celebrations and people shots that convey New York's vitality and diversity. Ground Zero is included and following the main tour is a respectful "Tribute to the World Trade Center." It includes construction footage, the World Trade Center as it was, homage to the victims, and an animated presentation of the development plans for the site
