Screenwriter Elle is tasked with writing a big-budget movie set in New York City, but she struggles with writer's block. She returns to her apartment, where she meets tech "Billionaire Bachelor" Parker Warren, who has been her stairwell hookup for two years. Their relationship has become a love-hate relationship, and Elle realizes that her enemy might be the key to finishing her screenplay. They both need a break from their busy schedules and a chance to rediscover the city's charms. However, summers always end, and this agreement is all pretend until it isn't. The story explores themes of friendship, love, and the complexities of relationships in the face of adversity
