Earth From Space

Earth from Space

June 22 – August 11, 2019

The Earth from Space exhibit celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first manned moon landing and it gave the community an opportunity to dive into subjects relating to space and STEM. It featured 20 high-resolution posters created by the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition Service, as well as an additional photo op, NASA-produced video, audio and reading materials. The posters showed satellite imagery and rare reviews of natural disasters and man-made ecological effects on Earth. Earth from Space was brought to the library courtesy of the United States Geological Survey and the Smithsonian Institution, and in conjunction with the 2019 Summer Reading Challenge: It’s Out There.
