On April 30 community members gathered at the library for the State of the Village – A Community Conversation. This first-time event offered residents the opportunity to hear from the park district, local school districts, the library and also the mayor, Tom Hayes, about highlights of the past year and details for what lies ahead. After the presentations, attendees were able to meet and ask questions of community representatives.
