An eccentric old practical joker dies leaving $140,000 to each of four relatives, on various conditions. A timid, conscientious bank clerk is to hold up the bank manager with a water pistol; a domestic tyrant is to get a job as a maid and keep it for a month; a playboy and gambler is to propose to and marry the first girl he meets; a writer of cheap thrillers is to commit a crime which will send him to jail for a month. These exploits, presented simultaneously, are attempted with varying success
