Kathryn Carlyle is bored. The newly-minted journalism graduate hired as an intern for the major daily in Gold Glen, Colorado, high in the Colorado Rockies, finds herself frustrated by the menial editing work to which she has been assigned, when what she longs to do is some hard-hitting reporting. Anxious to make a splash, Kathryn submits a story about what she assumes is a run-of-the-mill -robbery. The robbery and its perpetrator are anything but ordinary, however, as the citizenry learns over a series of robberies that stymie the police.
