Andrea Machen has always been true to her parents' traditional Italian values. She has no idea what things her husband has done in his quest for success as a potter, and in his exploration of the Greek gods with whom he identifies. When he disappears one morning, Andrea's whole life is turned upside down. As other potters and assistants in the Los Angeles area begin to turn up dead, it becomes obvious that no one who knew or associated with Nicholas is safe. She must journey into the hidden life of her husband, all the while guarding her own life, in order to discover the force behind the deaths of the people she cares about.
