Title from title frames

London’s “King of Bling”, Julien Macdonald, initially found fame as a knitwear designer. His cobweb-like creations caught the eye of Karl Lagerfeld, who hired him to spin his gossamer-fine fantasies for the Chanel and Lagerfeld collections from 1996-1998. Macdonald launched his namesake line in 1997, and his work has expanded beyond just knits – he has instilled a sense of high-octane glamour into London Fashion Week. In 2001, to the surprise of many, he was appointed chief designer at Givenchy in Paris, and remained at the house until 2004. But all the while he has continued to craft his signature brand of glitz in London
