Road to Experience There is a radical difference between the spiritual life guided by belief, from that which has its foundation in experience. But belief is the way to experience. Just as doubt precedes belief, faith comes before the experience of the divine. Mere belief is transformed into faith when it is put into practice, when it is lived. And if this practice is sustained in a persevering way, the experience is accessed. When the experience of the divine is lived, it is no longer believed, it is known.
