Detective Renee Brown gets caught in the middle between the Police department and her friend, Marlene Powers, during her husband's murder investigation. Officer Briceson and Chief Tollerton are leaning toward the murder victim's blonde wife as the murderer. Renee doesn't feel the same way since Marlene Powers is her friend. Besides, Jason Powers was such a disagreeable man that the line of people who disliked him is long. All Renee has to do is to prove which one of them killed Jason Powers, before Chief Tollerton decides Renee and Officer Briceson are out of time and demand they arrest Marlene Powers for murder. After all, Renee feels it's only fair that Marlene Powers should be considered Innocent Until Proven Guilty
