Gracie Evans is a retired farmer and Locked Rock, Iowa's Miss Marple. She wrestles with boredom. Her only deversion is rocking on the Moser Mansion Rest Home for Women front porch with her companion Melinda Applegate. Through peek holes they tore in the flower vines attached to the porch, they spy on the neighbors. What starts out as harmless snooping turns into a dangerous past time when the neighbor across the street is killed. Gracie and Melinda saw the killer and are afraid to tell anyone. Worse yet, the killer saw them and keeps coming over to visit just to scare the daylights out of the elderly women
