Bree saves the orchard and finds her friend was the one that poisoned the fields and now they have to go to the elemental city of wind to track Madeline down, once she is found more truth than Bree and Aiden can handle comes to light, but before Bree can process any of it she is captured by her wicked uncle. brees father reveals why she is prophesized to face the gatekeeper maiden and be judged, all those who have faced it perished but his willingness to sacrifice the last of their kind to have her judged is apparent. a massive battle is waged to save Bree from a prophecy no one is willing to let come to lite only to fail, after Bree has lost so much she only just found she stands before the maiden for her judgment
