I don't believe in an absentee God. He works within creation to manage all things according to the "immutable counsel of His own will" (Proverbs 16:9). The providence of God does not relieve me of responsibility. I need to make wise judgements and be prudent. Jesus Christ is my "mighty God and counselor" (Isaiah 9:6). He has directed me, using His people, circumstances and decisions to guide in my life. Even in the small details, His sovereignty is experienced. My main goal in life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ. He is the foundation of all sound knowledge and learning.
