NOTES

The training of the basics of handball in the E and D youth age is the focus of these five training units contained in the book. The topics pass security, throwing movement, bouncing technique, running free in the man covering and pass cheating are each dealt with in one training unit Individual topics methodically expanded from the simple to the more complex process.By intensifying the exercises, the complexity can be expanded and adapted to the level of performance of your own team. The following training units are included in this book: TE 1 - Improvement of the security of fit in the running movement (TE 232) (1 star) The aim of the present training unit is to improve the pass security, especially when running. After warming up, consisting of running in with different pass variations and a small game, passes from the full run are practiced in the ball familiarization. Passes from the run are also trained in the goalkeeper and the following series of throws. A second series of throws combines double passes in a given movement with quick passes in the direction of the goal. Finally, in a small group exercise and a game, precise passes are required, even under pressure. TE 2 - Learning and improving the throwing movement (TE 256) (1 star) The aim of the training unit is to learn and improve the correct execution of the throw. Throwing from standing and moving without jumping is trained in order to focus on arm and body movement. After the warming up, which already includes throws, the swinging and throwing movements are practiced in two exercises to get used to the ball and then combined with passes in a competition. In a small game, the throw is then applied based on the game situation, before the throw on the goal comes to the fore after the goalkeeper has thrown in in a final series of throws. TE 3 - Improvement of the bouncing technique while simultaneously observing the game situation (TE 278) (1 star) The aim of the present training unit is to improve the bouncing technique with a focus on the simultaneous observation of the environment. During the warming up, movements are combined with bouncing, a sprint competition and a small game train bouncing at increased speed. After the goalkeeper has thrown in, the simultaneous observation of signals is supplemented in a series of throws with additional coordinative tasks. The following small group exercise requires observation of the game while bouncing. What has been learned can be applied in a final game. TE 4 - Free running in the man marking with the help of false runs (TE 226) (1 star) Running free without a ball against the open man marking with the help of running fakes is the subject of the present training unit. After the warming up, a sprint competition with changes of direction and a party ball variant, quick changes of direction are practiced in the goalkeeper throw in again. This is followed by an individual attack exercise to run free over trickery. The topic is deepened in two small group exercises before what has been learned can be applied in free play at the end. TE 5 - Development of game advantages through false passes (TE 216) (1 star) The use of pass deceptions in connection with one's own breakthrough or a back pass to the teammate is the main topic of this training unit. After running in, intelligent passing is required in a small game, which is continued in the familiarization with the ball. The goalkeeper throwing in trains the passing deception in connection with a 1-on-1 breakthrough, a series of throws combines the passing deception with a back pass to the teammate. Both variants are then used twice in the game 1v1 and 3v2 up to 4v4
