NOTES

A Historical Fiction based on the life of the apostle Saint John. John is a small-town Jewish fisherman with a big dream-to liberate his nation from the oppression of the Romans and the Herodians. A fire rages in his heart. The temple of his God in the holy city, Jerusalem, is corrupted by foreign influence. Its courts are tainted with the blood of his countrymen. The worshippers are held hostage to the will of their leaders and their age-old traditions. John seeks liberty, but not by bearing the sword. He hopes for a deliverer as great as Moses, who led his forefathers to freedom from Egyptian rule by miracles and fire from heaven. John awaits such a chosen one, the Messiah, whom the prophets including, Moses himself, have foretold. Hundreds of years have passed since the prophecies, and there is no sign of this Messiah, but John clings to the hope that the Messiah will come forth in his lifetime. Then, one day, the Messiah appears and bids John, "Follow me." John drops his fishing net immediately and follows him. From the small fishing village of Bethsaida to the large port city of Ephesus, from catching fish and mending nets to leading a movement that changed the world, follow Saint John, a beloved disciple of Jesus, on a journey that he least expected
