NOTES

Read by Eric Michael Summerer

I am just one of the 100,000 people taken by an unknown entity to a faraway new world. There we will have to wage war against other races, or against each other unless we can set our differences aside. Sounds easier than it is, right? The so-called demi-gods never really made it clear why they took us to that new, fantastical world called Gaea, other than that we have to fight so Earth won't be destroyed. There we are introduced to a "system" that gives us strange magical powers, classes, and loot. We are given the option to compete for land, build villages, battle world bosses, cooperate with or annihilate the other races. And finally, the main reason for our existence is to climb the tower so we can find out what Gaea is, who took us there, and why. There is no going back home, but those strong enough can make this place worth living in. If only all of us could get along. Not every "player," as the system calls us, wants to play for the greater good of our species. There are many who want to rule over the others, but I'm not taking it. Join me and my party as we learn to navigate Gaea, where I've become a Hexmancer, a rare class that thrives on debuffing enemies, forcefully bonded to a cursed katana named Muramasa whose very reason for existing is to take lives
