Set in the suburbs of Melbourne in the nineties, Long Lost Cousin tells the story of Patz; a sassy, but slightly superficial teenage girl. Patz is shocked to discover that her mother has invited some family friends to move in with them. To add to the inconvenience, Patz instantly clashes with her shaggy-haired, heavy metal loving 'cousin' Joe. Despite their constant bickering, Patz comes to realise that when he's not driving her completely crazy, Joe is a true ally and a friend. But when she finally comes to understand how she truly feels about Joe, it looks like it might be too late…
