NOTES

Read by Sara Dylan

This short audio presentation by Dr Denis McBrinn and narrated by Sara Dylan is designed to bring a clear understanding of what clutter is, how to stop accumulating it, and to lead you gently into reflection on how to clear the clutter currently in your life. We all want our lives to be full of those things we believe will bring us joy and happiness. But we also need to be careful not to fill our lives with too much stuff. Ours is the most complex culture in history. We experience more activity and devour more information in one day than our ancestors did in a lifetime. We live in the midst of an intense technological haze of consumerism, advertising and entertainment. We find it hard to dispose of stuff and now plastic pollutes the planet. We seem to have an infinite capacity for making a mess! How this short audio learning experience works: This audio presentation has been designed using an experiential learning model, Kolb, D. A. (1984): concrete learning, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation. By taking this approach we hope to cater for all learning styles. You will be given specific new information in the recording usually as key tips", explanations" and quotes". You will be led through a gentle but positive meditative reflection process to assist you before conceptualisation and then putting your new skills into practice. You will be encouraged to return to the recording from time to time to re-listen and reinforce your learning and the desired changes in your life. Enjoy!
