Tommy has discovered that his friend Mr. Angus Tiginbaum has not been picking up his morning newspapers and they are collecting on the front porch. He thinks Mr. Tiginbaum is not away so where is he? Tommy becomes concerned and asks his best friend Chester to help him find out what could have happened to Mr. Tiginbaum. They involve the town sheriff and a local shop owner to search for the missing Tiginbaum. The boys soon realize they have a real mystery on their hands and become determined to find him. After talking with neighbors and even Rachel Tiginbaum, his sister from the town across the lake they begin to slowly put together the last steps of the morning he disappeared. Where has Mr. Angus Tiginbaum gone? Tommy and Chester start their own investigation to solve this mystery
