I t's 1959 in Crafton, Maine. Rocky Linfield, Millie Harris and Jerry Morgan have graduated from high school and are invited to spend a month in Scandinavia to learn about a furniture manufacturer's business. When they return home they are to assist with marketing the Swedish company's products while in college. However, their plans are altered when their passenger and cargo plane crashes, killing the pilots. Spared from the crash, they discover they are on a small rocky island of the coast of Labrador. With only a small amount of food and water available, the survivors worry whether they will be saved. three three American teens and their Swedish friend, Carina Svensson, take refuge in a partially built lighthouse and hope for rescue
