The debut novel, Bridget by Jerilyn Ring is a historical novel that takes place in a backdrop of mystery and suspense. A past relationships trigger events, exposing Bridget's secret. An outer journey becomes an inner journey as she acknowledges that all she has left is the truth which will not set her free. The setting is Chicago and San Francisco [1915 -1945] Bridget, a product of incest, abandon and raised in an orphanage, yearns for a family but is passed up for adoption because of an unsightly facial birthmark. Love and family seem to elude Bridget until she meets Eddie and experiences the love she's searched for all her life. Her happiness, however, is short-lived as her past begins to unravel putting her family and her very life in jeopardy
