After a divorce and the trauma of 9/11, Bobby Bocchini works as a private investigator, mostly dealing with infidelity and fraud cases. He used to be an NYPD detective, but he suffered serious injuries while saving lives on that fateful day, which affected his mobility and his career. His old boss, Sal Mancuso, asks him to investigate an unsolved case from seven years ago, involving a young ballet student who vanished after her class. The case has tormented the girl's father and Bobby's former CO for years. Bobby agrees to help them, even though he has another lucrative case to handle. He is not sure if he can manage both cases physically, but he has the spirit of a former Marine. He discovers a link to a huge criminal network.
