Working as a bartender while her peers move on with careers and marriage, Billie Culpepper fears she will never discover her true vocation in life, until fate intercedes in the form of a mysterious Englishman who hints that she is more than she appears to be. Caught in the crossfire between the stranger and the police detective chasing him, Billie is knocked into a coma for three days.
