Catherine finds herself at the receiving end of a vindictive suitor. He doesn't beat her but uses other means to humiliate her as he destroys her reputation in their small city. Wanting a new life, she answers an advertisement to be a mail order bride, agreeing to be the wife of a mysterious rancher named Nicholas. The correspondence starts off well enough but Nicholas decides that Catherine isn't the woman that he wants...Problem is, she's already en route to his ranch. Caught between a rock and a hard place, Catherine suffers an anxiety attack. Will she be able to change his mind upon meeting and what made him change his mind so suddenly?
