Cunigunde of Luxemburg, Holy Roman Empress, Queen of Germany, and Nun, was canonized by Pope Innocent III in Rome on March 29th, 1200, 53 years after the canonization of her husband, the Emperor Henry II. To prepare a case for canonization her biography was compiled by Papal authorities looking to clarify the sentinel events of her life.
