Wake Up World continues the story began in The Apocalypse Cometh. It is set in a time when the world is ruled by an International Oligarchy of High-Tech Moguls and Malcolm Mabius, Satan incarnate, controlled them all. Satan knows what awaits him on God's Judgement Day. His only hope is to upset God's timetable by corrupting the righteous, destroying the earth and setting up a Throne at Yosemite inside the Holy Mountain, Poo see na chuck-ka where he will rule his New Eden. Satan uses AI generated BVR (Beyond Virtual Reality) Holocasts on which he is projected as a divine apparition to woo the people to his side. These holocasts preempt all other broadcasts so that many came to believe he was God. Those who did not were controlled by exotic drugs that were freely available. Or vanished without a trace. All but 144,000 of the faithful known as The Keepers. Once Satan can bring The Keepers to their knees, he will have a word devoid of any righteous people. As the world falls into a hedonic slumber, only the 144,000 Keepers of The Word; Sam Rathe, the last of the Ahwahnee Warriors, Tiye Abramson, a fallen Sephardic Jew and John Pattos, a defrocked Priest, have any chance of stopping Satan's plan to upset God's timetable for Judgement Day.
