Suddenly, James finds himself in a world where magic is as real as a supermarket in the Ordinary World, and where evil is just as real and brutal as the good is humorous and powerful. During his training with the Cymdeithas, James not only encounters his soulmate, Manush, but also discovers that in this course of study, he must be willing to risk his life. Manus Braith's novel introduces readers to a spiritual, magical world where enlightenment is approached in a unique way. Sometimes uproariously funny, at other times profound and contemplative, but always with a captivating drive that enthralls and leaves one longing. Clearly not a book for the dull, legalistic, or those who have given up on dreaming. However, it is undoubtedly a book for readers who have always felt that something is missing but could never quite put their finger on what, where, and how... Fun and excitement are guaranteed. The individual volumes of the story seamlessly blend into each other, weaving a world that refuses to let go easily
