He is a young black man who deals with racism and deals with all types of bad experiences while in Vietnam. He has a son who is two years old and a wife who is 21. On his return from Vietnam his wife ends up leaving Clarence with his son to raise. Until one particular day when Clarence goes to the bank and he is robbed and killed and the man who killed Clarence gets away with his murder until 20 years later.
