A memoir about my life in law enforcement. After all the years of service to the state of North Carolina and its citizens, I find myself looking back on my career with fond memories. After sharing stories through the years and writing some down for prosperity, I thought through it all: I had people surrounding me with encouragement, knowledge, kindness, and a lot of caring. I also had times when I wondered how I would ever make it to the end. Somehow, it all evened out, and I made it. Was it an easy career? Not always, but it was rewarding. The people I met and the places I visited changed my life more than I can count. This writing is just a way to thank those who helped mold me and make me who I am. Sometimes I was right but many times I was wrong. It was all just Trial and Error,. Through the years, I've told stories about my experiences with people telling me I needed to write them down. This is me; now writing them down so that my family and friends will have them to show how life was while I was here
