ARRIVAL THE ULTIMATE TRIVIA COLLECTION FROM THE MOVIE DIRECTED BY DENIS VILLENEUVE CREATED BY FILM TRIVIA METAVERSE ABOUT THE FILM Arrival is a 2016 science fiction drama directed by Denis Villeneuve. The film follows linguist Dr. Louise Banks, portrayed by Amy Adams, who is recruited by the U.S. military to help communicate with extraterrestrial beings after twelve mysterious spacecraft land on Earth. As Louise and physicist Ian Donnelly, played by Jeremy Renner, attempt to decipher the aliens' complex, non-linear language, they grapple with global tensions and the potential consequences of contact. The film explores themes of language, time, memory, and the nature of human perception, offering a deeply philosophical take on communication and the possibility of future connections. TRIVIA SAMPLES: Director Denis Villeneuve and screenwriter Eric Heisserer created a fully functioning, visual alien language. They developed a 'logogram bible,' which included over a hundred different fully operative logograms, seventy-one of which are featured in the movie. The circular alien language was created by Montreal artist Martine Bertrand. The artist's son also created Hannah's drawings. While the shape of the alien ship was decided early on, Denis Villeneuve had difficulty imagining an interior that would allow humans to navigate such a steep and vertical design. The decision to turn gravity sideways was made as a solution. Ted Chiang, the author of the story on which the film is based, approved of the movie. He stated, 'I think it's that rarest of the rare in that it's both a good movie and a good adaptation.'
