Hello my name is Lisa Michelle Gray. I was born in Knox County Kentucky.My beautiful mother was diagnosed with gestational diabetes months prior to my birth. She had very high sugar levels and was told my sugar may be to low or that my heart could stop during labor and delivery. Everything was fine. I attended Girdler Elementary School as a six year old I was diagnosed with a learning delay. With God's love and the dedication of Educators Sandra Liford Cox, Bonnie Baker Powell and Bo Roaden I was able to overcome this challenge. I graduated from Elementary School on the honor roll. When I graduated from Knox Central High School I was among the top twenty five percent of my class. I have achieved honorable mention in at least two poetry contests
