The Day I Cried, is a fictional/autobiographical story of Yang'i that takes you through his growing up in a Malawian Village. He later goes to the city and travels abroad where he experiences a cultural shock when he visits The Red Light District. Yang'i narrates about his marriage, his infidelity and his alcohol-addicted children. He asks himself if he was responsible for his wife's death and the addiction of his children.
