"Too soon old, too late smart." This saying has resonated with me throughout my life, serving as a reminder of the lessons we often learn too late to fully appreciate. Over the years, I've come across countless sayings that perfectly capture the wisdom gained from life's experiences. I've written many of these down, along with personal insights I hoped to one day share with my children. However, life took a different course. After thirteen years of marriage, I found myself divorced, and without children to pass my lessons to. Instead, I shared these sayings with the apprentices I mentored-young pipe fitters who were eager to learn. To my surprise, the lessons were well received.
