Keeping It Real: Part 1 (Part 1 of 2) is an unfiltered, authentic glimpse into three years in the life of Raë Silva (she/they). It's a journal-turned-self-published book, and to Raë, it's a piece of their heart that they're choosing to share with the world. This book includes their original poems, quotes, and journal entries, as well as art by Kelsey "Kelso" Garner, some of Raë's favorite quotes, their friends' and family's notes and quotes, and more. This novel is an intricate, raw look into the life of a young genderqueer person grappling with issues like mental illness, gender and sexuality, the concept of femininity, and their childhood, romances, and relationships. They're publishing this book in hopes that it will help at least one person feel less alone in their experiences and emotions.
