Crilt begins experiencing increasingly violent and disturbing nightmares about the Demon King and his generals, reliving Killian's death and Sokh in gruesome, grim ways. These nightmares are vivid, with Crilt seeing visions of himself slaughtering innocents and becoming more like a demon. Crilt's nightmares begin to bleed into his waking life, causing paranoia, mood swings, and moments of unexplainable rage. Imran and Kamea notice that something is wrong with Crilt, but he refuses to talk about it, distancing himself from them. Crilt departs from Ashroth and begins traveling through unfamiliar lands.
