George Bernard Shaws most well known work, adapted multiple times by film and stage, such as My Fair Lady and Pretty Woman, "Pygmalion" premiered in Vienna in 1913 before coming to england in 1914 on London's West End. This 5 act play introduces us to the irascible Professor Henry Higgins, who in taking a bet from a Colonel Pickering agrees to take a girl from the gutter, Eliza Doolittle, and teach her the accent and manners of high society.
