NOTES
Read by Elisabeth Martin
In the beautiful, peaceful Ozark Mountains, a simple village lives a seemingly idyllic life, but it is far from perfect. In the midst of their struggles, an elderly shepherd arrives, leaving the distractions and stress of the city to find answers from his past. He befriends several of the kindhearted, yet proud villagers, who each carry wounds of their own. His wisdom and experience bring clarity and honesty to their secrets and hurt, while their forgiveness and love bring healing to his burdened heart. This series, published by ONE Audiobooks, seeks to produce Classic Christian titles read by handpicked audiobook narrators. ONE takes great care to cast these titles with readers who will provide an unmatched listening experience for these important works. Harold Bell Wright (May 4, 1872 - May 24, 1944) was a best-selling American writer of fiction, essays, and nonfiction. Although mostly forgotten or ignored after the middle of the 20th century, he had a very successful career; he is said to have been the first American writer to sell a million copies of a novel and the first to make $1 million from writing fiction. Between 1902 and 1942 Wright wrote 19 books, several stage plays, and many magazine articles. More than 15 movies were made or claimed to be made from Wright's stories
