Adelina left Kyiv in her youth, looking for a different life overseas. A decade later, she returns to her parents' house in the suburbs of Kyiv from her life in America. Some of her childhood friends have changed, some have remained the same, and some will be changed by the war that is relentlessly approaching. The invasion is heard from everywhere, but no one truly believes in the inevitable. Childhood friends will live through a warm summer and a terrible February together to understand: the bold line "never" crossed out one day is worth nothing in the face of the question of life and death. And everything will turn out as it should be, because time returns its debt. After all, what are fifty years of solitude compared to eternity?
