Dr. David Ison is an aviation planner for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Aviation Division where he oversees emerging aviation technologies and airport land use compatibility. An aviation expert, he has been involved in aviation for more than 37 years, including 6,000 flight hours as a flight instructor and ATP for both regional and major airlines flying domestic and international routes. In addition to more than 15 years in aviation higher education, he has a wide array of experience with fixed-wing and multicopter drones
