NOTES

How I Got Over: Above The Bar From The Olympics To Medical Miracles is a book of an Olympian's heartwarming, inspiring, and motivating life's journey through various unexpected ups and downs. It is a book that truly reflects how Reynaldo Brown, the second eldest of ten children, growing up in Compton, CA (as he puts it "Straight Out of Compton), was able to train and work his way to represent the United States of America in 1968 Olympics as the youngest male on the men's track and field team in Mexico City Mexico. Although Reynaldo's dream was fulfilled when he made the 1968 Olympics and qualified as an alternative in the 1972 Olympics in Munich Germany, he was not quite prepared for the medical episodes he would end up facing. Thanks to his obedience, athletic training, faith, hard work, lots of love and support, wonderful coaches, and a determined heart and mind, he was able to put all these things to use and rose above it all
